OSA-2021-06 ReDoS vulnerability in the thirdparty library (jquery-validate) (CVE-2021-21252)
Product Affected:
This issue affects OTRS 6.0.x, 7.0.x, 8.0.x.
Problem:
Thirdparty library jquery-validate is vulnerable to Regular Expression Denial of Service (ReDoS) via the url method.
This issue affects:
OTRS:
6.0.x version 6.0.30 and prior versions; 7.0.x version 7.0.24 and prior versions; 8.0.x version 8.0.11 and prior versions.
This issue was discovered during an external security research.
This issue has is related to CVE-2021-21252
SOLUTION:
Update to OTRS 8.0.12 or OTRS 7.0.25.
