OTRS 8 Patch Level 37

October 16, 2023 — OTRS Group, the world’s leading provider of the OTRS service management suite, including the fully managed OTRS solution and the ITIL^® 4-compliant IT service management software OTRS::ITSM, today announces the first release of the OTRS 8 patch level 37.

Enhancements

Updated translations, machine translation by DeepL and ModernMT.
Added AmazonS3 Article Storage Backend support.
Added Maint::Ticket::CustomerUserAutoAssign console command. It can be triggered automatically via Daemon::SchedulerCronTaskManager::Task###CustomerUserAutoAssign.
Updated CPANAudit package.
Improvements in Encoding module.
Improved data validation performance.

Bug Fixes

Two scrollbars appear side by side and a white space underneath a business object list.
Document Search history is broken if search parameters contain special character (i.e. “:”).
Some strings were not marked as translatable.
When CKEditor is maximized, some functions (e.g. Format, Font, Size, Text color) are not working.
Document Search result page is not loaded, spinning wheel never ends.
Fixed Issue#997 – When Document Search is used, there are useless operators (Empty and NOT Empty) in Ticket Type filters. Please note that above operators are removed and if they were used in Document Search presets, agents needs to update them manually.
Duplicated entries in Table push_event_user_message.
It is not possible to deploy ACLs if the application database is PostgreSQL or ORACLE.
Upload of two identical files is not visually shown in frontend.

Browser Support

JavaScript is required to use OTRS.

We recommend to use the latest version of your browser, because it has the best JavaScript and rendering performance. Dramatical performance varieties between the used browsers can occur with big data or big systems. We are happy to consult you on that matter.

Notes:

Support for Internet Explorer will be discontinued in the future. This will be communicated in a separate announcement.

OTRS Group managed customers who are using product versions that are reaching end of maintenance and support must be updated by our Customer Solution Team by scheduling an individual maintenance appointment in order to continue receiving necessary releases and support. OTRS On-Premise customers must obtain a newer product version by ordering our migration services.
